Start selection mode with single mouse click...

Double clicking an item opens it.
BandSelectManager tells MultiSelectManager where its selection begins
    so Shift+Click behavior can be complimentary.
BandSelectManager more actively manages selection...so it doesn't
    clear existing selection on mouse down.
