set log path on linux (no snap)

when running the installer the working path (i.e. the logging path) will be set to $HOME.
as there is no clean-up ever the unique logs generated on every start will just fill the home directory indefinitely.
instead /tmp/easy-installer will be used which usually gets auto-cleaned on reboot on almost all linux distros.
