can't load android system. your data may be corrupt
- /e/ version: 1.7
- Device model(s): FP3
- Developer mode enabled: yes/no
- Device rooted: yes/no
- Trackers blocker enabled: yes/no
Summary
Updating FP3 results in error screen asking for factory reset
The problem
Steps to reproduce
After updating FP3, got the error message "can't load android system. your data may be corrupt, if you continue to get this message, you may need to perform a factory data reset and erase all user data stored on this device."
At first i tried to install the newest provided version, but i got the same error message. After reboot, i had my phone back but without update. Then i tried to install another update, but one that was older, i thought maybe i have to update my phone step by step until i reach the newest version.
Now i have this error, photo attached.
I already tried to reboot my phone a few times, and also removed the battery.
i did not noticed anything strange, the only thing i did was to go to the update section, press "download" than "install" and finally "restart".
What is the current behavior?
OS cannot boot, and the user does not want to lose data by a factory reset.
What is the expected correct behavior?
There should be no data loss.
