App Lounge - Auto-updates do not work in the long run

- Device rooted: no
- Trackers blocker enabled: yes (default)
Summary
Since at least 3 months I am facing an unexpected behavior with App Lounge, which is set to auto-update the users app. It seems, if the user is not opening at all App Lounge, that apps are actually not updated.
This behavior occurs since several iterations, I have not tested it (yet) with the latest version (v1.12)
The problem
Steps to reproduce
- Have a recent version of /e/OS installed like %/e/OS v1.12.3
- Set the toggle of "Automatically install updates" in App Lounge
- Install an app that is updated on a regular basis (i.e. Signal with at least 2 iterations/month or a Google app
🙈 ) - Wait (and do not open App Lounge at all) ...
What is the current behavior?
At first auto updates works smoothly but after a while auto-update don't run anymore. When you open App Lounge go to the Updates
tab it says "All apps are up to date" but when you look for a specific app in the Search
tab you see there is an update available for some apps.
What is the expected correct behavior?
When the toggle is set to "Automatically install updates" in App Lounge the user should expect that apps are automatically updated in the background with no extra intervention needed. And the Updates
tab must be up to date with the available updates
