Summary
Problem syncing with my school emails on the K9-Mail application. My school switched a while ago from Exchange On Premise to Exchange Online (via office pack, M365 / O365).
The problem
**Steps to take to reproduce the problem
-
Add your M365 account in the K9-Mail application
-
Add your password,
-
Choose IMAP,
-
Change the server to: outlook.office365.com
-
Security: SSL/TLS | Port: 993
-
Be careful to choose the new authentication "0Auth 2.0".
-
You will be redirected to your browser (cookie, pop-up and javascript must be activated)
-
This does not work. It is impossible to enroll the email address on the K9-Mail application.
-
Even when reloading the page ...
-
Further settings, when you have unblocked the situation with the solution below:
-
SNMP
-
Change the server to: outlook.office365.com
-
Security : STARTTLS| Port : 587
-
Be careful to choose the new authentication "0Auth 2.0".

Solutions
**Possible solutions
- You need to go to the "Advanced privacy" settings proposed by Murena.
- Then choose the K9-Mail application and uncheck the "Mobile Engagement" tracker blocking
- This one must always remain unchecked to work, even after enrolment (long live the proprietary emails, lame as anything!).
-
WARNING, this solution does not work on the K9-Mail application supported by murena (version 6.506 to date). You must install the latest K9-Mail application from the Murena "App Lounge" store. This one is in version 6.700.
-
When Murena showed its version of K9-Mail. You'll have to test it again.
