App Lounge - update problem with specific apps (Element + Telegram)
- /e/ version: v1.10-S-dev
- Device model(s): Beryllium
- Developer mode enabled: yes
- Device rooted: no
- Trackers blocker enabled: yes
Summary
Certain apps from the F-Droid repository are not properly updated with F-Droid
In my case: Element + Telegram (FOSS)
The problem
Steps to reproduce
In my case all apps from the F-Droid repository were not updated for more than 2 weeks (#6869 (closed)).
Otherwise: Install outdated versions from Element and Telegram (FOSS) via the F-Droid app.
What is the current behavior?
In my case:
- Apps from the F-Droid repository are updated automatically on my system. Except for 2:
- Element and Telegram (FOSS) were not updated and both do not appear in App Lounge's update pipeline.
- But: When I search for each of those 2 apps within App Lounge, they both appear with the earmark that they are updatable.
What is the expected correct behavior?
- When App Lounge is set up auto update apps: All apps from Play repository and from the F-Droid repository should be updated on /e/ - including Element and Telegram
- When App Lounge is NOT set up auto update apps: All apps from Play repository and from the F-Droid repository should NOT be updated on /e/ but remain as updatable in the pipeline for updatable apps within App Lounge - including Element and Telegram
