Easy Installer - discrepancies between SNAP and AUR version
- /e/ version: does not apply
Summary
As for as I know the software known as easy installer is available for Linux is a SNAP (Ubuntu) as well as an AUR package.
From the users side is it not clear why...
- the SNAP version is called "/e/ OS installer" while the AUR version is called "easy installer"
- The SNAP is published by "Murena SAS" while the AUR version I published by "efoundation".
- The SNAP v0.15 dates from 27 July 2022 whereas the AUR version 0.13.3-beta dates back to May 2022. Moreover, the AUR package pages refers to an outdated Gitlab link: https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/tools/easy-installer
What is the expected correct behaviour?
- the installer exposes the same name in its different variants,
- ideally versions are identical across the different version (especially after so long time),
- the publisher of the different variants is the same.
