No-Google mode for App Lounge

Summary

Provide an alternative to use App Lounge without any calls to Google servers.

Description

What is the feature? Currently we have two ways of signing in to App Lounge -

  1. Anonymous mode
  2. Using Google login Both of the two methods make calls to Google servers to get authentication data to display Google Play Store apps.

We intend to provide a third option to just show PWA and open source apps from the start, so that users can just see non Google apps without ever needing to connect to Google servers.

This third option is called PWA AND OPEN SOURCE APPS. When the user clicks on it, s.he enters App Lounge where there is no Google apps offered and where there is no call to Google servers.

The impact of this mode on App Lounge's Settings screen is described in this issue.

Who will use this new feature?

People who just rely on PWA and/or F-droid apps.

Why these users would like to use this feature?

Privacy concerns.
