write a log before (!) the device accu dies
- /e/ version: 0.23
- Device model(s): FP3
- Device rooted: no
Summary
This is a feature proposal.
Write a file containing full accu consumption data before the device is going to die.
The problem
The accu consumption data displayed in the Settings are not good because of the time span limitation to the last full charging. Especially when the user had an unexpected accu drain and the device really died because of an empty accu these data are lost and the clearing of what happened is not possible anymore. The device did lose all knowledge about the accu consumption in the last hours before it was going down.
Proposal
I suggest to write a log file when the remaining accu power falls below 5% (or 3%). This should be a very simple but effective thing to implement because you have the data. This file should survive everything what then happens afterwards including reboots. The existence of such a file should be shown in the Settings, there could be a button or something, and when you press it the file could be displayed. This file should especially show which applications did consume the most energy in the last time.
Other idea: do not limit your knowledge of energy consumption to the time since the last full charging. Keep energy consumption data of the last five days or the last week (in a file). These data would contain several discharging periods including the last one, the user could analyze this and compare periods of time.
