Unwanted reactions of Lock screen mode in System profiles settings
- /e/ version: 0.21-q and previous
- Device model(s): FP3
- Device rooted: yes
Summary
Two issues related to Lock screen mode of system profiles described below
The first problem
Steps to reproduce
- Create two system profiles, one with Lock screen mode enabled, one disabled
- Activate profile with Lock screen mode disabled
- After the time set in system settings lock after display timeout activate profile with Lock screen mode enabled
What is the current behavior?
The display is locked immediately
What is the expected correct behavior?
The time to wait after display timeout should start after changing the profile, display should be locked after that time, not immediately.
The second problem
Steps to reproduce
- Set the profile with Lock screen mode disabled to be activated by a certain WiFi SSID
- Set the profile with Lock screen mode activated to be activated when that WiFi SSID is disconnected
- Connect to that WiFi SSID
- After time to lock display disconnect the connection, the display is locked
- Reconnect the connection, the display is unlocked automatically
- Press main or recents button
What is the current behavior?
When the display has been locked and then unlocked automatically by the profile the recent and home buttons don't react any more.
What is the expected correct behavior?
The two buttons work normally after the profile has unlocked the device.
Workaround
To have the buttons work again you must deactivate the profile with Lock screen mode disabled (thus disconnect the specific WiFi connection) and unlock the device manually (finger print, PIN or pattern).
