Calendar : when integrating an i-card, it should not send an e-mail to all the persons mentionned on the i-Card
Summary
I got a Google invite on a professional account which uses G-Suite. On the invite there was the sender and a mailing list containing all the recipients. I was prompted to save the attached ICS file and opened it with the Calendar app, and then inserted it into my calendar. Then it sent another e-mail to all the people invited on the ICS card setting me as the organizer which was obviously wrong.
The problem
See above : if you integrate an i-card in the calendar that comes from an external source it sends an e-mail to all the members of the list. This should not happen, or at least there should be a global option which prevents this behaviour.
Steps to reproduce
- create an invite with several members of a google mailing list (G-Suite or a list of GMail accounts should suffice).
- in the Mail app of one of the recipients (the one embedded in /e/OS), accept the invite. You will be prompted to open the attached ICS file and to integrate it within your calendar.
- open the calendar app which should not be bound to a GMail account but another one (for example Protonmail) and integrate the invite in your agenda.
What is the current behavior?
An e-mail is sent to all the recipients of the invite, setting yourself as the organizer.
What is the expected correct behavior?
No e-mail should be sent to the recipients for such an event. And more importantly the organizer should not change.
