S7 very slow charging battery

  • /e/ version: 0.7-2020010636667
  • Device model: SM-G935F
  • When it started to occur: 3-4 weeks
  • Reproducible with the last /e/ version: yes
  • Reproducible with LineageOS: don't know

Summary

While charging the phone overnight with its charger using AC (not USB), in the morning the phone has not reached 100%. This is not occurring all the times but only occasionally. The phone is connected to wifi but no application is actually draining battery.

The problem

Steps to reproduce

Plug the phone for charging

What is the current behavior?

The phone could take up to 6 hours to charge from 76% to 100% or 4 hours to charge from 85% t0 100% (see screenshots)

What is the expected correct behavior?

Full charge should happen in about 4 hours and take no more than a night in any case

## Solutions

**Workaround**

Sometimes restarting the device solves the problem, sometimes not (see screenshot with 76% where a restart was just performed)
