[starlte] Test session to upgrade from 1.14-q to 1.15-beta.2-r

Enabling USB debugging

• Enable Developer Options
  • Go to Settings > About phone > Build Number
  • Tap on it 7 times
• Enable USB debugging and root access
  • Enable Settings > Developer options > USB debugging
  • Verify it with the command adb devices in terminal (should be recognized as a device), if asked on the phone Allow USB debugging.

Enable Test channel

• Developer options enabled
• Test channel enabled
  • It can be enabled it by going to: Settings > System > Advanced > Developer options > Connect to /e/OS test channel
• Backup your internal storage just in case
  • It can be performed by typing adb pull /sdcard in terminal after enabling USB debugging

Update procedure

• Make sure that the device is having 1.14-q-20230815320612-stable-starlte installed
• Enable Developer options and Testing channel
• Download the 1.15-beta.2-r-20230905327476-stable-starlte update from OTA

What to test

• Everything, mainly basic functionality used on a daily basis.
• User data should be retained post OTA upgrade
