Is Light really needed as a stock app?

Just got /e/ running.. just really wondering why we need this app preinstalled... there's the flashlight button for most phones and everyone who needs more advanced light control could install the app later?
Only reason I could imagine to leave this app, is for phones that have no flashlight.. but I haven't met one in yrs.. is any without flash supported these days?
