## Purpose of the document
Explain how to use filters, in order to set rules, to automatically organise your incoming emails.
Murena cloud supports use of email filters that automatically organize your incoming emails.

## How to configure

Open [the email app in the cloud](https://murena.io/apps/rainloop/), click the person icon on top right, then "settings".

## Setup an email filter on Murena cloud

Click "filters" on the left, then "Add a filter".
Give a name to the filter, then click "Add a condition". Here you can choose between different conditions like emails from or to section which will trigger a given action.
Then on Actions, choose what you would like to happen with these emails, and click done. Don't forget to click "Save" button for changes to be saved on the server.
- Visit [this link to the Filters section](https://murena.io/apps/snappymail/#/settings/filters) or navigate to `Murena dashboard` -> `Email` -> `Settings` (gear icon at bottom) -> `filters`.

Here is an example with a filter which will move all emails coming from gitlab@murena.io to the folder named Gitlab:
- If asked, login with your Murena account e-mail and password.

- Click on `rainloop.user` as shown in the screenshot below.

## How to use with Hide my email
Open email app in the cloud, click on settings button at the bottom.

- Click on `+ Add a Filter`

Click on "create folder" and give the folder a name. Click create. Then click "back" button.

- Next, setup the filter as per your requirements. For example, the configuration of filter in the screenshot below will move all incoming emails from `mybankemail@example.com` to the folder named `Banking`.

Now let's find out your "Hide my email" address. Click on your main account icon on top right. Then settings.

- Don't forget to click on `Done` and then `Save`, otherwise your filter will not be saved.

Click on "Hide My Email" on the left. Then click copy button, to copy your alias.

- Finally, activate your filter by selecting the `Dot` beside `rainloop.user` option.

Now go back to the email app, click the person icon on top right, then "settings".

## Use email filters with Hide my email

Click "filters" on the left, then "Add a filter". Give a name to the filter, in the conditions select "Recipients", "contains", and paste you hide my email address. In Actions, select "Move to" and the folder you created for these emails.
- Visit [this link to view your Hide my email](https://murena.io/apps/snappymail/#/settings/hide-my-email) alias email address.

- If asked, login with your Murena account username and password.

Click "Done", then click "Save". Click "Back". Now emails sent to your "Hide my email" address will be collected in the folder you created.
- Click on `COPY` to copy your Hide my email address.

- Use the copied email in the `Conditions` section when setting up an filter.

For example, the the configuration of filter in the screenshot below will move all incoming emails from `r4ndom.alia5.m4il@murena.io` to the folder named `Alias emails`.

- Don't forget to click on `Done`, then `Save`, and then select the `Dot` beside `rainloop.user` option, otherwise your filter will not be saved.
