### Connect your phone

- In this step you connect your phone to with the PC as instructed using a USB cable.

### Activate developer options

- In this step you activate the developer options

### OEM unlock

- We will unlock the device now. It is mandatory to unlock devices to install custom ROM's like /e/OS. Please note this would result in a factory reset of your device.

### Activate USB Debugging

- Our next step involves activating USB debugging. Follow the steps as mentioned on the screen. This step enables the access of the phone to the PC's android tools like adb.

### Enable USB file transfer

- Next, on your device, we will enable file transfer through the USB cable. This step is required to move the installation build on to the device.

### Device detection

- Now we detect your device using the installer.

### Device selection from drop down list

- Select the device that shows up in the drop down list. Ensure it is the device you want to install /e/OS on.

### Download /e/oS

- Now we will download the /e/OS build appropriate for your device.

### You are now ready to install /e/OS

- Now we are all set to start the installatiprocess

### Bootloader connection - device will reboot

- In this step we will reboot your device into the bootloader mode.

### Unlocking Select unlock bootloader

- Now we unlock the device. Follow the steps as displayed on the screen.

### Installing the recovery

- First we will install the recovery image on your device.

### Format the device

- Now you will be asked to format your device. Follow the steps as mentioned on the screen. We need a clean formatted phone for the installation to work smoothly.
