Samsung A52s 5g No Wifi Networks available after e.OS v3.01 Installation
Today I tried to install the latest e.OS Version 3.01 an a Samsung A52s 5G. I used the instructions which were given at the installation advices for a52s…
I also used the latest original Samsung stock firmware [A528BXXSBGYC1] / SM-A528B/DBT/A528BXXSBGYC1 from 01.04.2025 as mentioned in the instruction. “Update to latest A13/14 stock firmware” before install e.OS…
Also I noticed, that there was no ‘vmeta.img’ file in the recovery.zip, as expected and mentioned in the instruction. So I decided to use the vbmeta.img from LineageOS site.
After I managed to install recovery and the e.OS System, I noticed that the Wifi connection won’t turn on as expected and that it was deactivated automatically after a short period of time.
Ah, by the way:
I'm a bit miffed about the fact that there is no direct link to Gitlab.e and the respective device page to report the error. Why do I have to select a project first? I have no idea what the developers call their projects! Maybe ‘android device samsung’? But if I don't know the project, I can't create an issue, very annoying! After searching for a while, I realised that the code name “a52sxq” doesn't exist as a project and I have to use “universal common”... Top!
Guys, there must be a better way, right?
It would be really nice to see, as an e.OS tester, that a pre-selection is made that matches the device available in GitLab, where I can report my bugs without having to know or to choose the correct project. Simply via the “Know issue(s)” button on the device page?
I hope that one can understand my point..
Greetings
