## The problem
TW: discussion of personal health issues, stop reading if this might affect you negatively. If you're an actual /e/os developer who might be able to help fix the problem, please keep reading though.
First, I need to say that I have no idea whether the problem is with the settings app, I just figured it might be the one impacted because it allows setting the audio volumes.
Like most people with a spinal chord injury (I have [paraparesis](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paraplegia), an incomplete form of paraplegia so that I can actually move my legs voluntarily but I have extremely little strength in them, so that I can neither stand without a strong support like a gym ladder nor walk) I can't urinate naturally any more.
Since a bladder needs to be emptied regularly to remain healthy, I have to empty it artificially regularly, about 6 times per 24 hours, as if I was just going to pee.
To do that, I have to rely on a set of alarms which rings every 3 to 4 hours.
Unfortunately, it happens quite often that I miss some alarms, either because the alarm never rang, but most often simply because the volume level was lowered **a lot** and as such I couldn't hear it and wake up :confounded:
Basically, every night when I go to bed, I have to make sure the alarm volume is to the maximum before I fall asleep, and every night it is lowered automatically at some point. :disappointed:
As a result, I am now using both my Fairphone as well as an old Samsung phone, so I can increase the chances of hearing the alarms. I do that because, in its current state, the behaviour I describe here in Murena is an **accessibility** issue. Murena fortunately has no problem with my wheelchair (I don't see how it could ), but the alarm volume lowering itself every night is nevertheless a problem. :disappointed:
**Steps to reproduce**
1. increase the alarm volume to the maximum, and wait a few minutes/hours, invariably the volume gets lowered on its own somehow
sometimes the first alarm in the night runs fine, and then it's a subsequent one which gets lowered

Nothing additional to add I guess...
