ZKB Twint Application can not be activated (Banking App.)

/e/OS version: 3.3-a15-20251210556408-official-shiba Device model(s): Pixel 8 Impacted Application: ZKB Twint

The application can be installed but to make it work a PIN number will be sent to your phone and after that the application will get this PIN and then the next step is to allow the application to find my location, I allowed the App to get my location, but after a while I received an error that the application can not be activated. I contacted the bank and also opened a ticket, but they called me back and told me (what I thought it could happen) in this case the mobile phone must be a android with google services in order to analyse the issue.

I did a test with a FairPhone 3 and the same eOS Version 3.3 as my new Phone and to my surprise the FP3 did not have this "Location Problem" and I could activate the Bank Application with no problem (The only difference is that the FP3 has Andriod 13).

Later on I will send some Logs with this good example.

Info: This application is widely used in Switzerland to pay in the Web or in the Shops.

I reproduced the problem and took some logs with Android Studio (Google-Pixel-8-Android-15_2026-01-20_125249.logcat) and with adb (logcat_pixel8.txt)
