Request for two small improvements to Charging Control.
Summary
- Currently the minimum battery charge level which can be configured in Battery / Charging Control is 70%. The feature request is to substantially lower this value, down to perhaps 10%.
- There is no quick-access tile to see the status of, and to toggle the status of, Charging Control. The feature request is to create a quick access tile, which shows the status of, and allows the toggling of, Charging Control.
Description
REQ1 : As a user of e/OS in Kyiv where we have prolonged (all day) power cuts, I want to be able to tether over USB to my phone for Internet access without charging the phone from the laptop battery, in order to preserve the laptop battery. For this I use Charging Control, but currently the phone battery is allowed to drop only to 70% before charging; it would be much more useful to have this value at, say, 10%, as then I could use most of the phone's battery.
REQ2 : As a user of Charging Control, I want to be able to easily see and toggle whether Charging Control is enabled or disabled, in order to avoid accidentally having Charging Control enabled when I wanted it disabled, or vis-versa. Currently, the Charging Control setting is available through the System App, under the menu Battery / Charging Control. I toggle this setting at least twice a day, and sometimes I have set incorrectly and I am not aware of it. A quick-access tile would be the perfect solution.
