I cannot receive SIP calls

  • Browser/client and version: Vivaldiv 7.7

The problem

I have a virtual mobile number (+4679140 ...) from voipvoip.com which I would like to use via SIP using the official VoipVoip app, called ZADARMA, and alternatively LINPHONE.

The problem is that I can call out, but when I call in 1) the phone/app does not ring at all or 2) after a long delay of 20-30sec the phone starts ringing, but no notification window is shown, so I cannot "pick up"/accept the call.

I think the problem is related to ZADARMA/LINPHONE using Google Mobile Services (Firebase Cloud Messaging) which is not available in microG services.

Any advice how to make this work?

Steps to reproduce

  1. get a mobile phone number from voipvoip.com

  2. download and configure linphone

  3. call mobile phone number from another mobile phone using standard mobile network
