Unified Push Settings missing

The problem

According to this announcement, e/os is supposed to support Unified Push out of the box. However, on my FP4 I neither find the settings under "Settings → System → Unified Push" nor does the UP Example succeed to send a notification (it fails with A2.i: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: connection closed).

Steps to reproduce

  • Go to Settings → System: No "Unified Push" menu item
  • Install "UP Examlple": Register -> Send notification.
