Samsung Gal. S8; no (calendar) appointment reminders working!

The problem

Whatever setting (I try) to manipulate; never does a (notification?) reminder appear to warn me for an upcoming appointment on e.g. lockscreen or screen.

Describe precisely the problem you're facing and add screenshots to illustrate When entering appointments one is able to add 'Reminders' for the appoiintment. Whatever Reminder I try; never a Reminder appears on screen on my S8...

Steps to reproduce Create a (test) appointment; tick the Reminder option, Save it. Exit the calendar app; you won't be 'reminded'....
