VW App loads a strange MapLibre map style

The Volkswagen App has a page where you can do routing and once planned send the route to your car. The map in the App is normally Google Maps. It gets replaced by MapsLibre. However I think it selects a strange version of the map or overlay. It only has major roads like Autobahn but for example no roads in cities. Here is a screenshot:

Here is a screenshot taken in the Aral Pulse app. It also uses MapsLibre, but the map style seems to be a different one which is working:
