What is the current behavior?

Cannot change from taking video to taking photo without going through QR mode.

What is the improved behavior?

Be able to change from taking video to taking photos directly.

What does it bring?

UX improvement.

Either keep two icons, or make it a list, or allow disabling QR mode entirely in the settings.

Examples

User takes a video, then wants to take a photo quickly. User doesn’t want to have to wait to change mode twice.
