FP4: WiFi calling doesn't work since /e/OS 3.0

  • /e/OS version: 3.0.2-a14-20250627504416-official-FP4
  • Device model(s): Fairphone 4
  • Impacted Application: /e/OS Dialer
  • Affected application/URL: WiFi calling
  • Browser/client and version:N/A

The problem

Since V 3.0, WiFi calling doesn't work anymore.
Meaning there’s no more “WiFi calling” icon appearing when making or receiving a call. I remember that I had this “WiFi calling” icon a few months/weeks ago. WiFi calling setting is "On". WiFi calling priority setting is "When WiFi is available, use the WiFi to handle calls"

Steps to reproduce

  1. Make or receive a call. No "WiFi calling" indication appear on the screen.

  2. Put the device in airplane mode + reactivate the WiFi and just try to make an outgoing call. The error message “Deactivate Airplane mode or connect to a wireless network to make a call" appears.

Technical details

Carrier: Salt. (Switzerland) Advanced Privacy settings: Only "Block the trackers" is activated. Trouble shooting: Tried on several WiFi networks. Tried to reboot the device. Tried to reboot the access-point router. None of those worked.
