Pixel 6 pro (raven): Blisslauncher crashes after installation of /e/OS 2.6.3-u
- /e/ version: 2.6.3-u-20241219455571-community
- Device model(s): Google Pixel 6 pro - raven
- Developer mode enabled: yes
- Device rooted: no
- Trackers blocker enabled: probably yes
Problem: Blisslauncher crashes
After installation of /e/OS 2.6.3-u the Blisslauncher crashes (restart loop).
Installation procedure:
- Downgraded running StockROM Android 15 to Android 14 via Android Flashing Tool https://flash.android.com/
After that the phone was working correctly with Android 14.
- Flashed StockROM Android OTA image 14.0.0 (AP2A.240905.003.F1, Sep 2024) via adb sideload
After that the phone was still working correctly with Android 14.
- Installed /e/OS following the description on https://doc.e.foundation/devices/raven/install
Used images:
- recovery-IMG-e-2.6.3-u-20241219455571-community-raven.zip

Installation finished successfully: After reboot /e/OS started with the initial device setup steps and after that the device showed up the lock screen with the clock.
Then the trouble began: After unlocking the lock screen only the EMPTY BACKGROUND IMAGE is displayed and NO APP ICONS are visible! After a few seconds the SCREEN TURNS BLACK (black, not off).
Nothing more can be done in this state but it is possible to open the quick menu by sliding down from top border: There I can open the Settings and start Apps via the Settings->Apps section. This way I managed it to download an alternative launcher Lawnchair 14 and installed it successfully. Then it was possible to use the phone a bit more comfortable but still with issues: It seems Blisslauncher is in a restart loop. Lawnchair reacts noticeable slow and the temperature of the phone rises significantly while the battery power is decreasing visibly in minutes...
