Media Playback Continues in Background and During Authorization Requests in Incognito Mode - possible privacy breach
- /e/ version: 2.3-t
- Device model(s): beyond2lte
- Developer mode enabled: yes
- Device rooted: no
- Trackers blocker enabled: yes
Summary:
The incognito tab in the browser continues to play video and media when the browser is in the background or when authorization is requested for showing the tab content. Media playback should be stopped in both cases until the user views the content. Helps to maintain privacy.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open a video or media file in an incognito tab.
- Switch the browser to the background.
- Alternatively, set locking incognito tab in Settings, send Browser to background and back to trigger a situation where authorization is requested for showing the incognito tab content.
- Observe that the media continues to play in the background without user intervention.
Expected Behavior:
Media playback should be paused or stopped when the browser is not in the foreground or when authorization is requested for showing the tab content. Playback should only resume when the user explicitly views the content.
Actual Behavior:
The media continues to play in the background even if the browser is not active or if authorization is pending.
