App Lounge will not install apps via mobile network

• /e/ version: 1.20 and newer (latest tested 2.2)

Summary

App Lounge refuses to work when only on mobile network. Works fine on wifi network.

The problem

Just staring the App Lounge with wifi turned off or being out-of-reach of a configured wlan.

The app just gives an error "Can't connect. Please check your Internet connection and try again"

All other network apps works fine, with a functional Internet connection.

This issue can occasionally happen on wifi too, but a lock-and-unlock step will solve it. This workaround does not work when only on mobile.

Phone is set up with "Always-on VPN" to a private VPN server, with is VPN provided DNS. Automatic app updates is disabled (I want to have control of what is being updated and when).
