Can't download attached files from mailo anymore (net.mailobj.netc)

  • /e/ version: 2.1
  • Device model(s): murena two, FP3, FP4
  • Developer mode enabled: no
  • Device rooted: no
  • Trackers blocker enabled: no

Summary

I cannot download attached files from the mailo app anymore. I checked on FairphoneOS and it works as expected (but app does not ask for file access permission).

The problem

Steps to reproduce

  1. Install Mailo
  2. Create a test email address
  3. Send a mail with an attachment to this address
  4. Open mail with mailo and tap on the file to download it.

What is the current behavior?

I can see the message "Downloading IMG-xxx" for less than a second, before getting an error message saying that I must allow file access in order to download files from Mailo. There is no such permission in the app settings. File is not in the Download folder.

What is the expected correct behavior?

File is downloaded and I can find it in Download/
