Calendar is outdated

A tedious bug was resolved with Etar 1.0.37 released on 16 November 2023, but Calendar doesn't not have this fix

It's not clear where the calendar code is:

archived fork

https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/os/calendar

archived repository with no updates for a year

another repo

https://gitlab.e.foundation/e/os/android_packages_apps_Etar

in the commit history the are entries like "New version 1.0.36", where this is the latest. If this is the Etar version Calendar is based, then it's from 22 September 2023, meanwhile 4 newer versions with bugfixes has been released

fork differences

As an end user, I do not see any difference from the original Etar, except name, icon and info page. On eOS 1.19 now is possible to install Etar without issues and calendars are fully recognized, since it's DAVx5 fork to manage them.

Is it really worth to have a fork version of Etar to manage instead of just using the original one?
