Unable to buy Apps via App Lounge anymore

Summary

I’m not able to buy apps via App Lounge for some time now anymore. I am connected to my Google account via MicroG, but still nothing happens when I click on the price tag of an app in App Lounge. In former days clicking on the price tag directly brought me to the Play Store where I was able to buy an app - not anymore. I even bought the app on my old Google Android phone. e/os seems to not connect to my google account for some reason.

Steps to reproduce

Click on the price tag and nothing happens.

What is the current behavior?

After clicking on the price tag, App Lounge asks me whether I like to confirm the buy or not. If I click on "confirm" nothing happens.

What is the expected correct behavior?

Before that, App Lounge took me to the Google Play store where I was able to make my purchase and then immediately took me back to App Lounge where I was able to download the game.

Workaround

Using the Aurora store works.
