  • /e/ version: 1.15 S
  • Device model(s): Gigaset GS290

  • Device rooted: no
  • Trackers blocker enabled: no

Summary

Since 1.15 version, when the device is powered off, the battery charging indicator does not appear.

The problem

Steps to reproduce

Turn the device off and plug the USB cable to a charger.

What is the current behavior?

The first splash screen "Gigaset powered by Android" appears, and remains stuck in this state.

What is the expected correct behavior?

The splash screen "Gigaset powered by Android" should appear for 4 to 5 seconds, than the battery charging percentage indicator should appear.

Technical informations

Relevant logs (adb logcat)

I reflashed the latest recovery.img (1.15), but no change.

Despite the charging screen does not appear, it seems that de device is charging anyway, but much slower as the screen remains on...

Solutions

Workaround

No workaround has been found.

Possible fixes

No idea. I guess a hotfix is needed. The rest is working fine, no issue when the device is turned on.

The battery get charge normally when the device is on. So this issue only affects offline charging.
