when plugging usb to jack converter, no audio output/input occurs

The problem

plug usb to jack audio converter + wired headphones play some music/make a call no audio out, no input recorded through the headset's micro 100% reproductive

What is the current behavior?

no audio out/in

audio routed to wired headset
