Flash recovery failure to boot (Google Pixel 4a 5G Bramble) after upgrading stock Android per instructions

  • /e/ version: STOCK ANDROID 13 from Google
  • Device model(s): Google Pixel 4a 5g
  • Developer mode enabled: YES

Summary

Following instructions just as I always have. I upgraded Stock Android to 13 via the Google website to prep for /e/ install

The problem

Trying to flash /e/ recovery succeeds but fails to boot, "error boot prepare"

Flash to stock then flash recovery.

What is the current behavior?

I had to revert back to stock Android via Google's flashing tool

What is the expected correct behavior?

Recovery should launch to be able to sideload /e/ Android S

Keeping this here for anyone else who made the mistake I did... ensure you are running the latest version of S DO NOT INSTALL Android 13 (T). This is why recovery fails.

/Update Recovery still fails despite downgrading back to Android 12 (S)
