FP4: speakerphone mode bad quality in call for the caller

  • /e/ version: 1.10 and 1.11-rc.2
  • Device model(s): FP4
  • Developer mode enabled: yes
  • Device rooted: yes
  • Trackers blocker enabled: yes

Summary

The audio quality for the caller is not good when we use the speakerphone mode with the FP4 and /e/OS. Also reported by the Fairphone community with the stock rom https://forum.fairphone.com/t/call-quality-and-noise-cancellation-regular-calls-handsfree-signal-voice-messages-microsoft-teams-video-calls/79502.

I may be having speakerphone problems after upgrading to v1.10. I been on two calls where the person I was talking to said they could not hear me while on speakerphone. I never had this problem before.

I have used my FP4 a number if times for Zoom video calls a number of times with no apparent problems. It's curious that when using it for phone calls, people with whom I am speaking say that there is background static, and sometimes my voice fades out.
