Manual Mobile Network selection not possible

Hello All Together, i start this "not new" issue after i tried to reopen this old issue (Manual network selection #1673 (closed)) , as i have a similar problem.... and there was no solution within the old issue. the issue is, that there is no possibility for me to select a mobile network manually. only automatic is always enabled!

i have the fairphone 4, with the newest e/os System available (just updated last week).

so similar to the screenshots from volvox i enter the menue - setup (Einstellungen) Network - mobile network. with the button "on" shown in "green" - the "automatic mobile network" is selected.

When i touch this area and select the next level i can see the following:

• in the top line of the screesn i could enter a network.
• in the lines below it says - "there is no networks found, i should try again"

But of corse i am using the mobile network! so i also checked the APN settings and they are correct!
