Summary
When a contact has a phone number which is not specified as a Mobile number, the contact can't be found in message app. Even Pro mobile doesn't work.
The problem
Steps to reproduce
Create a contact with a phone number. For the type of phone number, specify anything other than mobile (pro mobile, home, office, ...). Now, go in message app Select the "+" button at the bottom right To set the contact, use the search bar and write the contact name: it is not found. Now, go back in the contact, switch the phone number type to Mobile. Go back in message and use the "+" button: the contact now appears in the search bar
So message app apply a filter to allow the selection of phone number with only the type Mobile. Other can't be selected.
What is the current behavior?
When you write a new message, the app applies a filter to allow only the selection of phone number with the type Mobile. Other can't be selected. Even Pro Mobile can't be selected
What is the expected correct behavior?
Type of number should be only an information. Not a condition to send a message. So Message app should be able to show any phone number of any contact stored in Contact app whatever the type number (Mobile, home, office, pro mobile, ...)

Solutions
Workaround
Use the type "Mobile" for any number where you want to be able to send message
Possible fixes
Remove the filter which might exist today in message app with respect to the type of phone number.
