App Lounge - impossible to install/update apps since v1.6

Summary

Since the update to the latest e version v1.6, I am unable to update apps or to newly install apps with App Lounge.

The problem

Steps to reproduce

Example 1 - fresh installs

• I click on any app proposed on the App Lounge home screen to install it (I try "Mein dm")
• No matter if I hit right away the install button or open the app specific page to use the install button there... the install button transforms to a "Cancel" button.
• After some time he "Cancel" button transforms back to a "Install" button.
• The desired app is not being installed

Example 2 - updates

• I set App Lounge in a way that I receive update announcements for app but I need to install them manually.
• When trying to install an app that is proposed for update (example: "Zoom"), the behavior is as described in example 1.
• After some time he "Cancel" button transforms back to a "Install" button.
• The desired app is not being updated

Example 3 - updates from the F-Droid repository

• App Lounge behaves differently with apps from the F-Droid repository (Example "Tutanota"): In the list of apps to be updated Tutanota appears with an "Update" button. The update does not work (similar behaviour to the above cases)
• When I open the app specific page for "Tutanota", there is no update button but just an "Open" button, suggesting that the app does not need (anymore) an update. When double checking directly within the F-Droid app, "Tutanota" is earmarked as updatable.

What is the current behavior?

• updating or installing apps is not possible with App Lounge (whereas with F-Droid or Aurora apps can be installed/updated)
• I was not able to reproduce the issues on other devices with fresh v1.6 installs.

What is the expected correct behavior?

• When I click on any app in App Lounge, the app is being installed on my device.
• When I update any app from my update pipeline within App Lounge, the app is being updated.
