Listing updatable apps impossible while "Show common Apps" is unchecked

/e/ v1.6-q, App Lounge v2.4.1:

Requesting Updates, while Settings/Show common apps is unchecked, yields Error occurred while loading apps. because of a java.lang.NullPointerException in some gplayapi code.

This didn’t occur in /e/ v1.5-q.
