S testing - App Lounge - unclear update notification

  • /e/ version: e-1.5-S-testing
  • Device model(s): Beryllium
  • Device rooted: no

Summary

The used testing device is set to update apps automatically. An actualisation notification popped-up in the drop-down menu of the device. Apparently, apps have been updated (the App Lounge pipeline is empty). The notification cannot be wiped away and attempting a double click on it nothing happens.

From user perspective it is not entirely clear what the notification is aiming at and how to get rid of it.

The problem

Steps to reproduce

  1. In App Lounge's settings check the box for Automatically install updates
  2. wait for an auto-update to be triggered.

or

  1. In App Lounge's settings uncheck the box for Automatically install updates
  2. wait for a batch of updates to be offered in the Update tab
  3. Press Update all

What is the current behavior?

A notification appears saying Last update triggered [timestamp]. This notification cannot be swiped.

What is the expected correct behavior?

The notification should only appear when App Lounge is set to auto-update or when the user press "Update all". The user should be able to swipe it. And we should make the message clearer: Update of [x] apps completed on [timestamp]., [x] being the number of auto updated apps or the number of apps updated via Update all and the [timestamp] being the date and time when the auto update / update all finished updating all the apps.
