Set a screen time-out that can be modified by user in Camera
- /e/ version: 1.2
- Device model(s): all
- Device rooted: no
Summary
it's been reported a few times that people left their device in photo-mode with the screen being not turned off. With Open camera having no timeout, this ran the device hot and the battery low. It would be preferable to disable the screen by default - current timeout is ~30sec.
The pool of users needing the screen always-on for long photograph sessions must be in the minority compared to users that need half a minute.

The problem
Steps to reproduce
forget to exit photo mode in Opencamera
What is the current behavior?
screen stays on; battery running low
What is the expected correct behavior?
Keep display on + add a time out after 5 minutes of inactivity (no action on the screen) + being able to personalize this value of 5 min in the settings.
Solutions
Workaround
You can disable the behavior in Camera > the setting symbol > On screen GUI… > Keep display on.
Possible fixes
set the "keep-display-on" option to off in the default --> not wished as it could cause a bad UX for our users. So we go with the solution described in "What is the expected correct behaviour?"
