Improve user experience of /e/OS for non-English languages and for above average text sizes
Summary
The design of apps and other parts of /e/OS should be made in a way that the system works equally well no matter what language is used and what needs users may have in terms of text size.
Currently - in particular in bits mainly developed for eOS - spaces available for text as well as text boxes seem to be tailor-made made for English text in standard text size and for standard display size.
For future releases:
- Testing should be encouraged with maximum text size available on the system and preferably with German and/or Italian. Those two are examples for languages that take notably more space than others (further details)
- Newly developed parts of /e/OS should be made out-of-the-box for extreme text sizes and space consuming languages as the 2 mentioned above.
The issue raised here is rather of a general nature (does not describe a particular problem). Therefore I suppose it should rather be part of an Epic.
Below just some examples:
(in example 4 there is an entire line from the text box cut off due to lack of space.
