Upstream notes app requires Nextcloud Android app to make it work

While looking at the ways to update our notes app and merge the upstream patches. I found out that the upstream app needs to use Nextcloud Android app for logging in. So we need to find out how this requirement can be bypassed and can we use account manager to bypass this requirement.
