Echo during calls on Samsung S9/S9+

Summary

When a person is called, they hear a very strong echo of the caller voice, and it is impossible to understand what is spoken.

The problem

The issue is present only on standard calls, not on Bluetooth or on Telegram, etc. Usually, when tested with Fairphone checkup app, you cannot hear yourself on the secondary microphone checkup, although there is loud echo.

Possible fixes

  • Might be due to the modem version being new. Update to Android 10, may solve it.
