/e/ Browser doesn't provide correct information for password managers (like bitwarden)
- /e/ version: 0.18Q (27th auugust 2021)
- Device model(s): Redmi Note 8T
- Device rooted: yes (with magisk, no root priviledge for apps [need magisk hide for banking apps])
Summary
When you use /e/ Browser (version 91.0.4472.158) and try to fill username and password using bitwarden, browser doesn't provide webaddress information to bitwarden, but provides app name foundation.e.bro... ( I assume it would continue obviosly as foundation.e.browser ).
The problem
Steps to reproduce
- Open web page, ie. https://oma.posti.fi
- I address above, then from page right corner menu, select "KIRJUDU" which is wite text at orange background
- After you followed above stepes you are link where you can enter username and password (from this page you can also add link to home screen to use it as webapp.
- Now using either webpage or as webapp, try fill username and password using biwarden for example ( for testing you can create not working username and password to see how bitwarden can fill tjose fields).
- You end up seeing that instead providing web address to bitwarden, browser provides it's app name foundation.e.browser
What is the current behavior?
See above
What is the expected correct behavior?
Browser should provide web address to password manager (like bitwarden) like Fennec does.
