Battery drain / Redmi Note 4 (Mido)
The battery of my device is draining in a very visible manner. Under stock Android (MIUI) Redmi Note 4/Mido is typically running for 2 days. With /e/ (e-0.5-n-201903295494-dev-mido.zip) battery is at 20% after 24h.
I tested energy consumption as well on:
- an inoffical oreo built (https://eota.digitalkr.am/builds/full/unofficial/ by @thy85)
- lineage-15.1-20190403-nightly-mido-signed.zip (with and without microG)
- unofficial Lineage 16/Pie (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/xiaomi-redmi-note-4-snapdragon-roms-kernels-recoveries--other-development/pie-lineageos-16-0-t3915672) + microG/patched
Typical usage scenario was the installation of a few apps, little browsing and webradio. On /e/ Oreo and Lineage 15.1 builts battery drainage was 7-8% per hour, for Lineage 16 consumption was fair (far less than half of the prior).
Screen brightness was typically set to 30-40%. One observation: Screen brightness seems generally to high, only below 10% the screen is getting significantly darker. Is this fact related to a higher energy consumption? This phenomenon was observed with the Nougat and Oreo ROMs I tested, not with the Pie ROM.
