Not booting FP3 OTA to 0.16

Summary
Installation of OTA to 0.16-20210422111920 shows after reboot that it "Can't load Android system"
The problem
Steps to reproduce
Downlad OTA and install.
What is the current behavior?
Recovery shows message and after 3 retry slot is changed from 'a' to 'b' and it boots to 0.15.
What is the expected correct behavior?
Successfull installation to 0.16.
Technical informations
/e/ was installed on the device on the 17.03.2021 with EasyInstaller v0.12.3, /e/ Version back then was 0.13-q I think. OTA's to 0.15 worked like a charm.
