File Synchronisation between smartphone and ecloud.global not working

Summary

The file sync between /e/ smartphone and ecloud.global ist not working, which means no files are synced (both directions). Other synchronisations like notes, email, ... work fine This was reported by several users in the community forum

The problem

Steps to reproduce

Add photos or other files to ecloud.global -> no downward sync to phone

Take photos with your phone -> no upward sync to ecloud

Even "Sync now" in the account settings has no effect

Removing and adding the account again had no effect

What is the expected correct behavior?

I would expect that image folder is kept synchrone with the folder on ecloud
