Samsung A5 2016: update to /e/OS 0.14-2021012698470 failed

Summary

During update-process, I’ve seen the fastboot screen coming up, and later on I noticed the phone rebooting. Everything seemed fine. Then the phone stuck rebooting, it showed the initial splash screen (“Samsung Galaxy A5-6, powered by android”). Then the display turned black, then the splash screen returned. On and off, all the time. I’d pressed all buttons to hard-reset, then power on again, same behaviour.

I had to return to /e/OS 0.13-20200120789008 using twrp-mode
